Build AST Capacity to House Artists

Giving to AST is an act of standing with artists facing housing insecurity—joining a collective commitment to care, stability, and belonging. Together, we’re building an Artist Housing Commons and financial education program that supports artists’ holistic wellbeing and greater self-determination for generations to come.

Individual, Corporate, and Foundation Donors

Your support of Artist Space Trust is an act of solidarity that helps stabilize artists’ lives, stem displacement, and preserve cultural heritage for generations to come. Please consider a one-time or annual tax-deductible donation to support our housing work, financial education programs, and policy engagement.

Please contact AST Director Meg Shiffler, meg.shiffler@artistspacetrust.org, for the following:

  • Donations of large amounts

  • Donations from donor advised funds

  • Family foundation or community trust donations

  • Corporate and matching fund donations

  • Bequests of cash or other assets

Note that donations are made to Northern California Land Trust (EIN: 23-7380534). Please indicate that the funds are designated for Artist Space Trust.

Property Donations and Property Bequests

Donating property—or designating a property through a bequest—is a powerful way to build a legacy of care for artists and the communities they’ve shaped. Through full donation or partial-donation sale of your property to AST, you are supporting our stewardship of homes and creative spaces across the Bay Area, transforming individual assets into lasting community care.

AST Accelerator Fund: Bridge Loans

The AST Accelerator Fund allows individuals and foundations to put their capital to work through short-term, low-interest loans that help us act quickly on housing opportunities for artists. This purpose-driven real estate investing supports property acquisition, renovation, and transaction costs—bridging the gap between opportunity and long-term stewardship.
